About your Photographer

There's a song by the fantastic band 'The Divine Comedy' called:

"Love What You do"

Whatever it is, you've got to love it

...and, as cheezey as that may sound, that's how I feel about what I do.

I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. My Dad had a darkroom, and I was always fascinated by the whole process of Photography. I do miss the old physical darkroom, but now my darkroom is Photoshop and Lightroom. I learned on film, and I think that has been instrumental in developing my style. No pun intended :)

Eventually, my love of Photography turned into a dream of making it my living. With a background in fashion, I have finally found my niche as a Wedding Documentarian.

I love it when people tell me they didn't even notice I was there. This means I was able to be sneaky and get true, candid moments of people being themselves, and with real emotion and joy on their faces.

Interesting facts about me:

  • I'm a Virgo, with Virgo Rising. If you follow astrology, you might know this makes me a perfectionist extraordinaire :)
  • I love working with my Husband, a Wedding Videographer!
  • I am a cat lover AND a dog lover; I refuse to pick one.
  • I have a hot beverage obsession (coffee, hot cocoa, tea, you name it.
  • I like Winter better than Summer
  • I like very hoppy beer (see: Three Floyds Alpha King)
  • My Parents once bought a house from Chuck Norris (I swear!)
  • I get just as excited about shooting a Wedding now as I did for my very first one in 2007.
  • I am a Sci-Fi nerd and I love video games. Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Red Dwarf, Dr. Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Skyrim, Fable, Zelda....ok, I'll stop boring you.
  • Victoria doesn't like third person Bios ;)
