Check out this article to gain some insight on the difference between a Wedding Professional, and a casual shooter. I know that you have countless choices when it comes to a Wedding Photographer. What makes me different is my personal attention, my experience (I have shot over 100 Weddings), my genuine appreciation of your event, and my very reasonable rates. You really CAN find an experienced, talented Photographer without breaking your budget! I also realize the importance of my role as Documentarian of your day. The photos I take on your big day will last a lifetime. Photography should not detract from the special moments of the day. My job is to preserve all the moments that fly by in an instant, allowing you to re-live those memories every time you look at your photos. I also just want you to enjoy your day, and not worry about anything! What also makes me different is - you get to keep ALL of the photos I take! Are you a Do It Yourself kind of couple? You can use the high resolution files I provide for you to make prints, photo albums, etc using any service you choose! I can also expertly design your album, and provide high quality prints on an 'a la carte' basis. It's up to you! Since you will have the high resolution files, you will have the freedom to do whatever suits you best. Some Photographers and Studios will make you wait 1 year to receive your high resolution files, or "digital negatives". I will provide ALL of your high resolution files to you within 1 month!
If you'd prefer that I make your photo album and/or prints for you, I am available to do so at a reasonable additional rate.

FAQs Why are your rates so low? As you will find, my prices are a lot lower than most Wedding Photographers. As with my Fashion and Actor headshot rates, I tend to be more reasonable, while still maintaining high quality. There are a few reasons for this. First of all, I really do enjoy shooting Weddings. I always feel honored to have been selected to photograph a special event. I feel privileged to not only have Photographic talent, but to be able to create art for a living. Also, with the digital age, there is less reason to charge such exorbitant prices. When Photographers used film, there were a lot of processing costs involved. Now with Digital, we end up taking hundreds upon hundreds of photos on a memory card, rather than processing dozens of rolls of film. How many hours should I book you for? I generally find that it is more important to have me arrive earlier, than having me staying later into the reception. There are a lot of great moments to capture while everyone is getting ready and preparing for the day. At your reception, after your cake cutting, first dances, bouquet/garter toss etc, I like to stick around to get shots of people dancing, mingling and having a good time. However, I find that I will get more than enough coverage without necessarily staying for the entire reception. Most Couples book me for between 6 and 9 hours. What kind of equipment do you use? I use high quality Canon digital SLRs, with fast lenses that let in lots of ambient light. I also use powerful flashes with a battery pack that lets me take flash after flash. Do you have backup equipment? Yes, I have backups of every kind of equipment I use. This includes backup cameras, lenses, flashes, batteries, memory cards, and everything else I might need. I am always prepared! What styles of photos do you take? I pride myself on my ability to shoot all kinds of styles. From beautiful portraits, to fun action shots on the dance floor, to traditional poses with the family, I can capture it all for you. Do you have a set amount of photos you take, or prints you provide? I never limit how many photos I take, or which of those photos you get to keep. I will provide a DVD with ALL of the images I take at your event, in high resolution. I average about 100 photos per hour. Sometimes it's a bit more. Whatever the exact number of images you get, you can be sure that I will snap all the important shots! What happens after the Wedding, how do I get my photos? Within 4 weeks of your event, I will provide online previews of all your photos via my website. I will also prepare your DVD with the high resolution files for you, and get it in the mail right away. You can also purchase professional prints right away through my online marketplace. Do you provide retouching, tinting, or sepia styles? When I shoot, I take everything in color. This allows you the freedom to take the original file and turn it into any style you wish, such as black and white, sepia, or selective color tinting. Occasionally, I will go ahead and turn a photo black and white, or another color process. Basically, the way you see the photos in my galleries, is the way you will see your own photos. You can also ask any lab you use to print in these styles. What happens if you are unable to fulfill your duties as Photographer? I am a very professional, reliable person, but tragedies can strike, and I have a plan for any unlikely event. I will have an Associate Photographer on hand to cover your Wedding in the unlikely event that I am injured or cannot arrive at your event. My Associates are all very capable, talented, professional people. Especially since my business is my name, you can rest assured that I will do my utmost to provide you the level of service that retains my reputation. Do you shoot more than 1 Wedding in a day? No, I have a policy of shooting only one Wedding per day. This enables me to really focus on your special day, and to give your event the importance it deserves.
